Why One Offer Behaves Differently on Each

• Wagering requirement: how much you must bet before bonus funds become withdrawable.
• Contribution rate: the share of each bet that counts toward that requirement; bingo and casino games often count less than sports, and the split varies by operator.
• Minimum odds: sports offers commonly ignore bets priced below a set level.
• Built-in cost: the bookmaker margin on sports, and the share of card sales not paid back as prizes on bingo.

Everything below uses round figures so the working is easy to follow on a phone screen. Swap in the real numbers from an offer and the same method still applies.

Worked Example 1: Clearing It With Sports Bets

Example terms, invented for the maths: a ₱500 bonus, 5× wagering, sports bets count 100% if priced at 1.50 or higher. We also assume an illustrative 5% average margin on the bets you choose; real margins differ by market.

1. Requirement: ₱500 × 5 = ₱2,500 of qualifying bets.
2. A ₱100 bet at 1.30 counts for ₱0 because it is below the minimum odds.
3. A ₱100 bet at 1.80 counts for the full ₱100.
4. Expected cost of clearing: ₱2,500 × 5% = ₱125.
5. Expected value of the offer: ₱500 − ₱125 = ₱375, before any cap or expiry rule bites.

Worked Example 2: Clearing the Same Offer With Bingo

Same invented ₱500 bonus and 5× requirement, but now assume bingo counts only 50%, and that the room pays back 90% of card sales as prizes over time. Both numbers are illustrative.

1. Requirement is still ₱2,500.
2. At 50% contribution, each ₱10 card counts ₱5, so you need ₱2,500 ÷ 0.5 = ₱5,000 of cards.
3. That is ₱5,000 ÷ ₱10 = 500 cards.
4. Expected cost: ₱5,000 × 10% = ₱500.
5. Expected value of the offer: ₱500 − ₱500 = ₱0. The bonus is used up by the cost of clearing it.

Side by Side

The whole gap comes from two lines: how much of each stake counts, and what each peso staked costs on average. Change either one and the result moves sharply, which is why the contribution table deserves more attention than the headline bonus.

Worked Example 3: Splitting the Requirement Across Both

1. Clear ₱2,000 of the ₱2,500 with qualifying sports bets: cost ₱2,000 × 5% = ₱100.
2. Clear the remaining ₱500 with bingo at 50%: you need ₱1,000 of cards.
3. Bingo cost: ₱1,000 × 10% = ₱100.
4. Total expected cost: ₱100 + ₱100 = ₱200.
5. Expected value: ₱500 − ₱200 = ₱300.

Averages are not outcomes. You can still lose your deposit while clearing any offer, and a sports result or bingo draw can go against you many times in a row.
